Susana Miller Workshops in Albuquerque

Susana Miller is a preeminent teacher of Argentine Tango in the Milonguero Style, a term she coined to introduce Tango Apilado to students around the world. Milonguero Style is a synthesis of Susana’s studies over the years of the unique dancing styles of the older milongueros.
She has a gift for deciphering their distinct vocabularies and choreographic combinations and transmitting
these to her students.

6:45 PM – 8:15 PM – all levels and styles
Figures are situations on the dance floor. Five basic figures for navigating impeccably (for waltz as well
as tango).

8:30 PM – 9:30 PM – for everyone
Eva Garlez & Pablo Rodriguez will interview Susana. Q&A with the attendance. Susana will be talking about different Tango related subjects, her experience, and thoughts

1 PM – 2:30 PM – for Intermediates & advanced dancers
Technique for dancing on the “floor tile”, turns with double sacada without leaving the same tile.

3 PM – 4:30 PM – for Intermediates & advanced dancers
Waltz, rhythm. A turn, walking in corrida rhythm. The corrida walking backward (characteristic of Tete and Vidort).

1 PM – 2:30 PM – for Intermediates & advanced dancers
Boleos milongueros, waiting times in D’arienzo.

3 PM – 4:30 PM – for Intermediates & advanced dancers
Milonga caminada. Two traspies (that are fun to do, but not indispensable). How to combine the traspie with simple milonga (milonga lisa).
